Meet future shaper Arturo Pino
KCNSC Sr. Mechanical Engineer Arturo Pino sees endless opportunities when he arrives at work each day. He designs and develops manufacturing technology for additive manufacturing of polymeric materials, including equipment, software and lean processes.
Arturo joined KCNSC seven years ago and quickly found the team culture to be collaborative and inspiring. He also finds his work to be incredibly rewarding since the technology he is designing is changing the way the world thinks about problems and solving challenges.
“I focus on research and development of new 3D printing technologies, software development, advanced data analytics and lean Six-Sigma manufacturing techniques,” Arturo said. “Those technological and manufacturing capabilities are shaping the future of our industry by shedding light on unknowns earlier in the development cycle, giving us a more responsive way to design and improve.”
While his day-to-day responsibilities are fascinating to Arturo, he mostly values his role in helping to keep our national security safe and secure and wished more people understood our work in doing so.
“It is a privilege and honor to work in an environment that ensures the security and freedom to many others, including my family and friends,” Arturo stated. This sentiment is deeply personal for Arturo as he says his greatest achievement in life has been obtaining his U.S. citizenship which has provided him with more opportunities than he could have ever have dreamed possible.
