Honeywell announces 2020 scholarship opportunities

Honeywell is offering unique scholarships for students in Kansas City and Albuquerque to pursue higher education and technical training to prepare them for their careers.

The Honeywell Opportunity for Prosperity through Education (HOPE) Scholarship Program is entering its fourth year. We recently hired Material Supplier Alexander Wren (Ruskin High School, Class of 2018) as our first full-time HOPE recipient hire. We have 30 students currently enrolled in technical programs in Kansas, Missouri, New Mexico and Arkansas. In 2020, we hope to award our largest number of scholarships. The HOPE Program is aimed at students who are on more of a technical path to a trade school or community college. We’re looking for students interested in machining, cyber security, IT, electronics and other highly skilled technical programs. The scholarship is a full-ride scholarship for students working towards a trade certification or associates degree. Applications are due March 1, 2020.

The Black Achievers Engineering Scholarship is for African American students who are bound for a four-year college or university to study engineering (all disciplines except Civil). We have students currently enrolled at Missouri S&T, Kansas State, Mizzou, University of Oklahoma and University of Wisconsin. The scholarship provides $5,000 for four years. Students must have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 to qualify. Applications are due March 1, 2020.
