Honeywell FM&T President Eric Wollerman Featured in Industry Education

Earlier this summer, Honeywell FM&T President Eric Wollerman was invited to be a participant in an online industry forum titled, “Key NNSA Manufacturing Facilities, Their Roles, and Modernization for Deterrence.”  The forum was supported by the NNSA, the Advanced Nuclear Weapons Alliance (ANWA) and the Mitchell Institute for Aerospace Studies.

The forum was one in a series of summer virtual events that aim to educate key decision makers, stakeholders and the public to ensure a broader understanding of the Nation’s strategic nuclear deterrent and its ongoing modernization across the United States.

Eric was joined by site leaders from NNSS, Mark Martinez; Pantex/Y-12, Michelle Reichert and SRS, Stuart MacVean, after opening comments from Michael Thompson, Principal Assistant Deputy Administrator for Stockpile Sustainment, Office of Defense Programs, NNSA.

Eric provided an overview of KCNSC’s mission, operations and updates on key programs and how the company responded to the COVID-19 pandemic while keeping our employees engaged to meet customer commitments.

“As a new leader of this organization – I am constantly impressed with the passion of mission and talented workforce who walk into our front doors – some virtual front doors – every single day,” he said.

In talking about our growth in the KCNSC workforce and the infrastructure planning, Eric also added, “We continue to look for other opportunities – leveraging to some degree – lessons learned from the pandemic on how we manage our office workforce. Like many employers, we found productivity didn’t taper off when people were forced to maximize working from home.  In fact many employees like that flexibility or a hybrid model of it. That is factoring into our plans.”
