Geib named NNSA Security Manager of the Year

Shawn Geib and his security team have created innovative ways to get employees cleared and access their working spaces more quickly at the KCNSC. And now as the 2016 NNSA Security Manager of the Year, his efforts have been recognized by our customer for avoiding $1.8 million in costs and reducing clearance times by 25 percent which helps our new employees be more productive sooner.During Shawn's nine-year duration with Honeywell, he has been promoted five times and is currently serving as the Interim Security Director. Throughout his career, he sought opportunities to develop himself and to set himself apart from his counterparts.

"Development is huge," says Shawn. "If I can develop myself then pass on what I know and encourage my employees to do the same, hopefully to surpass me one day."

Shawn uses his military veteran as a Marine and his management experience to lead organizations responsible for security education, document and material control, visitor control and internal investigations. He also finds time to support the veteran community through his efforts with the Honeywell Veteran group and Veteran Community Project's housing for homeless vets.
