COMMUNITY

Community

For more than 70 years Honeywell and its employees have been proud supporters of the Kansas City and Albuquerque communities, on behalf of the U.S. Department of Energy's National Nuclear Security Administration.

The future is what we make it, and that’s why we’re heavily committed to developing the highly skilled workforce of the future. Almost every day, our employees are in schools promoting STEM (science, technology, engineering and match) education and careers. We’re also passionate about manufacturing, so we added an extra M to STEMM to represent our commitment to manufacturing and career paths in the skilled trades. We proudly offer several scholarship programs (link to manufacturingourmission.com) to help put young people on the path to rewarding careers in our industry.

In addition to STEMM education, our pillars of giving also focus on workforce development, military and veterans, family safety and security and civic engagement.

Together, our 5,000 employees donate their time and talents supporting our strategic pillars. As a result of our community-focused efforts, Honeywell was honored to receive the 2018 Business Philanthropist of the Year award from the Association of Fundraising Professionals Mid-America Chapter.

Whether it’s igniting a love of science and math in middle schoolers, or doing much-needed safety repairs on the homes of senior citizens, Honeywell is proud of the good work we’re doing to make our communities a stronger and safer place to live, work and play.
